So I had this idea in the shower this morning. What if I used concentric circle bulleyes (like on the UPS packages ) to locate targets within a scene. I know there must be a reason that the guys in brown shorts use them.
So I cracked open two of the OpenCV examples, Eclipse and created a program that would read images off of the webcam and then process them to find my target pattern (something I whipped up in Inkscape in a minute).
The result of todays work is that I have code that can locate circles within my webcam’s view. This is pretty cool. Now I need to work on the algorithm a bit to only identify my special target within a scene and not other circular objects.
