Today I went to cross country practice, not really sure why I went but I felt like I should go. When I got over there it was raining lightly and the rest of the team was hanging out inside the gym waiting for coach to show up. When couch arrived he told us to go to warm up for ten. As we were warming up, it began to rain harder and harder. Right before we made it back to the gym it started bucketing down and the lightning warning system on the Wellesley Country Club started going off.

Normally this would be no problem, however Babson doesn’t have a real track. It has a gravel loop on which someone measured out 400 meters. When we come back out from streching the rain picked up even more so that it ran down all of our faces. I could taste the rain water seeping into my mouth. We began our workout and the mud started flying (not so much fun when you are behind someone). By the time we were done it looked like we had all rolled around on a beach from all the sand/gravel mess we had on our fronts and backs.

Despite being a complete mess and freezing I had alot of fun. Now I have to dry out all of my clothes. I haven’t found anything else that gives me the same feeling as having rain poured over me as you work out. Maybe I just don’t get out enough.
