Well I finished my Error Control Codes test yesterday and my presentation today. If you are interested in convolutional codes you can check out my presentation and my pretty sweet handout.
The presentation ended up going pretty well but when I tried to practice it in the morning, it was a complete mess. Yet when I gave it in the afternoon, with no additional practice, I was as cool as ice. I really don’t think that I can effectively prepare for a presentation. The only thing I know how to do is to have a broad enough knowledge about a subject then make up the presentation on the spot. Trying to plan out what I am going to say always ends horribly. I inevitably forget something and then become extremely nervous and can not recover. Go figure.
Sadly we now have a national ID, thanks to a rider amendment.
At least four people have been killed and 70 injured in violent protests in Jalalabad over reports U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base desecrated copies of the Quran during questioning of prisoners held there. Somehow government sanctioned torture doesn’t seem right.
I wish the world thought a bit more about its actions.
