So I just got back from my SCOPE trip to IBM at Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. The presentation went really well and the people who attended seem genuinely impressed. After the serious part of the trip was over, my team and I had a blast hanging out there. (We even got to visit a Sonic). There aren’t too many parts of SCOPE that are this much fun. I guess I should be thankful that I have had such a great team.
One curious thing that I found while there is that North Carolina has a remarkably similar smell to Virginia. It’s hard to describe but being there definitely reminded me of being at home during the summer months. Then I started to realize how long it had been since I spent a summer at home (two years ago). It seems so long ago and so many things have changed. I guess that’s life.
