When I arrived at work this morning I had to unpack my cube since a large pile of equipment and boxes had taken up residence there. After removing the stuff, I got a shiny new computer and started installing software. Around lunch time I had it configured enough that I could actually get some work done. I took a short break, ate some lunch and then went off to find out what exactly I was supposed to be doing. On my adventures I found out the history of the product that I would working on. The real world is much different than hacking for fun or school. All in all it went pretty well.

After work I went to the bike store to try to buy a replacement seat for my bike. Apparently the guy had never seen a bike seat like mine before. In order to get a new seat I have to buy a new post for the seat to sit on. When it is all said and done it will cost around $70 to get a new seat on my bike. Seems exccessive, not sure what I am going to do about that one.

My search for a new car continues. One of the oddest thing about online car shopping is that people think that they there is some sort of word limit on online ads. This completely baffles me, craigslist costs nothing! You don’t even need an account. I think this is post exemplifies what I am talking about.
